Jersey’s finance centre offers professionals who are employed in it an opportunity to work on leading edge transactions in an environment that is far more relaxed than the City of London.

The Island offers its residents a great quality of life. Within its 42 sq. miles, you will find a wonderful variety of scenery, from the sandy beaches of the south coast to the rugged cliff-line of the north coast, from the farmland of the centre of the Island to the wooded valleys. There are opportunities to participate in a great diversity of sports and other leisure pursuits. The Island’s main town, St. Helier, offers good shopping and a variety of places of entertainment. The Island boasts many outstanding restaurants with a great range of cuisine.

Jersey is a superb place for young families to live. The Island’s schools follow a similar curriculum to schools in England and provide high standards of education, achieving excellent results for students at GCSE and ‘A’ Levels. Health care provision in Jersey is also of the highest standards. The crime rate on the Island is low making it a very safe environment for young people.

Unemployment in Jersey has been all but non-existent for many years. People working in the Island’s finance centre are generally paid exceptionally well in comparison to similar jobs in England and the rest of Europe; coupled with the flat rate of income tax of 20%, no capital gains or similar taxes and no VAT, this allows people resident in the Island to enjoy a high standard of living.

British Citizens and nationals of a Member State of the European Economic Area (EEA) do not need work permits in Jersey.
