Voisin Law LLP are looking for a qualified lawyer of up to 7 years PQE to join their Corporate, Commercial and Trust Department as a Senior Associate.

The role:
This full-time role is designed for a candidate who will give our clients clear and focused advice and will be expected to lead the management of files and work with the wider team on larger-scale transactions, with a view to taking charge of such transactions with further experience.
- In particular, the candidate will need to:
- take responsibility for managing files and transactions, including resolving issues that arise during transactions.
- demonstrate initiative in identifying key issues.
- work collaboratively with other members of the team.
- accept assignments delegated from Partners and report efficiently to the Partners as required.
- give technically accurate advice to clients.
- demonstrate good commercial awareness relevant to our clients’ differing objectives and needs.
- work in compliance with the firm’s procedures, including (without limitation) anti-money laundering rules and prompt and accurate time-recording.
- communicate clearly and efficiently with clients on all aspects of a file, particularly about the scope of work, the anticipated costs and disbursements, progress during the file and any issues that arise (or may arise).
- manage different work-streams for multiple clients.
- preserve and enhance existing client relationships of the firm.
- undertake business development activities for the firm, both individually and in conjunction with colleagues.
- mentor and supervise junior members of the team as and when required.
Technical requirements:
- Qualified lawyer of up to 7 years’ PQE with experience in the corporate and/or commercial and/or trust departments, and/or the banking and finance teams, of local or external reputable law firms.
- Knowledge and experience of trust law in the context of Jersey-administered trust and corporate structures and/or high net worth private clients will be beneficial.
