Chris’ practice is principally focussed on commercial law. He has particular experience of substantial restructuring and lending matters and frequently advises upon company and trust law, Collective Investment Funds and commercial matters.
As an Advocate, Chris also appears before the courts of Jersey from time to time.
Additional Information
Chris joined Voisin in September 2010 as trainee solicitor, having previously been a member of the firm’s bursary scheme. He was admitted as an English solicitor in October 2012. During the following year, he undertook the Jersey Law Course and was sworn in as an Advocate in February 2014.

Advised on the sale of shares and associated restructuring of a significant local business, including the establishment of an employee benefit trust and a preferential investment mechanism. Assisted with the incorporation of a collective investment fund as an umbrella structure, including advice upon the incorporation of individual property-holding cells with regard to Jersey fund legislation. Advised on the establishment of a property holding structure incorporating aspects of an existing LLC structure based in Delaware. Advised on matters of Jersey corporate law ancillary to a large-scale arbitration taking place in London. Advice in relation to the winding up of an insolvent JPUT trust by way of a composition agreed between the creditors. Assisted with the establishment of a Jersey C.L.O.
