Ashley’s practice includes all aspects of commercial and insolvency litigation and mediation including trust and estate disputes, professional negligence and fraud and asset tracing, in particular cases involving trust fund and investment losses. Other specialisations include public law and financial regulation.

Ashley is an Advocate of the Royal Court of Jersey.
Ashley is an internationally accredited Mediator.
Ashley was called to the English Bar in 1983 and admitted as a Jersey Advocate in 1989 joining Voisin in 1994.
He is also authorised to practice in the Courts of Dubai International Finance Centre.

Ashley has acted in many of Jersey’s most significant court cases including Freeman v Ansbacher, JP Morgan v. Alhamrani, Re Teighmore (Shard of Glass), Re JC Bamford and most recently in Re HHH and the judicial review of tax information treaties in re Larsen.
