Chris’ practice is principally focussed on commercial law. He has particular experience of substantial restructuring and lending matters and frequently advises upon company and trust law, Collective Investment Funds and commercial matters.
As an Advocate, Chris also appears before the courts of Jersey from time to time.

Additional Information
Chris grew up in Jersey and began his career with Voisin Law LLP in 2010 as a trainee solicitor, having previously been awarded a place on the firm’s prestigious bursary scheme.
He qualified as an English Solicitor in 2012 and was sworn in as an Advocate of the Royal Court of Jersey in 2014. Chris became a Partner in 2021.
Outside the office, Chris is coping with the demise of Manchester United.

• Acting as lead lawyer on a major acquisition by a local enterprise of two businesses, which entailed a complex application to the JCRA and was subject to significant time constraints
• Advising the vendor on the sale of a Jersey-based investment business regulated by the JFSC
• Serving as principal Jersey counsel to institutional lenders on the financing and refinancing of a complex JPUT structure holding UK student accommodation
• Advising on all Jersey law aspects of a corporate restructuring and sale transaction involving high-value UK commercial real estate
• Acting as lead lawyer for the UK-based purchasers of a local agricultural business, including securing JCRA consent to the transaction
• Representing the trustee vendor of an underlying high-value Caribbean real estate asset held through a trust and company structure
• Advising on the establishment of a property holding structure incorporating elements of an existing Delaware-based LLC
