Chris Le Quesne is a partner in Voisin’s Commercial team and is a Jersey Advocate.
Chris’ practice is principally focused on corporate and commercial law, together with banking and finance advice relating to the structures that he advises on. His instructions range from share and business sales and M&As, restructuring, corporate governance and fiduciary issues, as well as financings and insolvency, for both large structures administered in Jersey and local businesses. He has extensive knowledge of Jersey law and regulatory considerations relating to companies, partnerships, limited partnerships, JPUTs and other wealth-structuring vehicles. Chris is also experienced in applications to the Jersey Competition Regulatory Authority (JCRA).
Chris is also a highly experienced trusts lawyer, frequently advising local trust company businesses, together with individual trustees, settlors and beneficiaries, in relation to high value private trust structures, PTCs and orphan structures.
Chris has a deep experience of offshore structures and transactions – his areas of practice extend to regulatory advice for both local businesses and international clients. He has also acted on a wide variety of fund structures (ranging from “club-style” JPFs to a substantial legacy Unclassified Fund structure) and CLOs.
