AREAS OF EXPERTISE:

Having worked as a lawyer in Jersey for over thirteen years, Estelle has considerable experience in all aspects of litigation matters. After qualifying as a Jersey Advocate in 2009, she has focused her practice on general litigation and appears in the Jersey courts on a weekly basis in criminal and civil matters, the latter including professional negligence, personal injury, debt recovery, contract, property, employment, family, health and safety matters and construction disputes.

Health & safety – Estelle has written a chapter on Health and Safety which provides practical guidance of particular relevance to Jersey Directors and Senior Management

Boundary dispute – Estelle was instructed to defend Vue de Vicomte proceedings before the Viscount.

Injunctions – Estelle has made several successful applications for interim relief including urgent applications.

Personal injury – Estelle has represented defendant clients in numerous personal injury claims.

Family Law – Estelle regularly appears before the family courts in divorce and contact proceedings and related family matters.

Alternative Dispute Resolution – Estelle has a wealth of experience and has participated in several successful mediations as an alternative to court proceedings.

Criminal matters – Estelle has vast experience of matters in the Magistrate’s Court and has acted for a defendant in an Assize trial in the Royal Court.
