Property Law

Voisin has a separate department which specialises in property transactions and advising upon the Jersey law of property which is based upon the customary law of Normandy before the unification of the laws of France into the Code Civile.

The partner responsible for freehold conveyancing is John Kendall who will be happy to advise in relation to the sale and purchase of freehold commercial or domestic properties or flats and any other queries that may arise in respect of the legal title to properties in Jersey.

He is also responsible for sales and acquisitions of properties and flats by the transfer of shares in a company and also specialises in both commercial and domestic leases.

The Legal 500 review of leading law firms said of the Property team: "Voisin wins praise for its ‘speedy response times’ and ‘willingness to assist’. Voisin's John Kendall is recommended for transactional matters."
